Calif GOP hopeful Fiorina completes surgeries

After battling breast cancer, Calif. GOP Senate candidate Carly Fiorina completes surgeries

California Republican U.S. Senate candidate Carly Fiorina has completed reconstructive surgery following her battle with breast cancer.

According to her chief of staff, Deborah Bowker, Fiorina is resting after completing her final surgery Tuesday. Bowker says Fiorina is in good spirits and is looking forward to getting back on the campaign trail.

The 55-year-old former chief executive of Hewlett-Packard Co. is trying to unseat California's three-term Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer this fall.

Fiorina had a double mastectomy and underwent chemotherapy and radiation after she was diagnosed with breast cancer in February 2009. She completed those treatments in October.
